The Camp Bay Lodge sits on over two kilometers of white sandy natural beach on the Caribbean Sea. We have attempted to keep the natural beauty of this special place on the island by enhancing the natural foliage on our beachfront, as to not take away from the uniqueness of the surrounding area. Yet, we strive to give our guest a feel that they have stepped into a small Island community by being able to launch their adventures from beneath the beachfront hammock. This may include a mangrove forest kayak or boat tour, a day of diving or snorkeling the pristine reef, outer key exploring, hiking the hillsides, or just spending a day on the beach enjoying the tranquility of the sound of the sea collapsing on the shore or the waves crashing on the reef. As always, the backdrop of the Caribbean breezes caressing the palms and sea-grape trees is the final element of Camp Bay that makes the east end of Roatan such a unique place. The Camp Bay Lodge is the place to experience it all from.

Actions taken to promote environmental or social sustainability
In order to minimize our carbon footprint we focused on improving the hotel structure. We replaced all doors & windows and added bigger and wider louvers in order to create air-flow and better light to minimize the use of Air-Conditions and artificial light. New rooftops & gutters prevent the cabanas from heating up and collect additional rainwater.
The lodge has it's own septic treatment system which is used to water the garden.
We want to improve our recycling, composting and overall consumption of energy and water further.
We encourage all our guests to be green and support us in this process.
